WiLoKi Dance Company

Culture

• At WiLoKi Dance Center, we prioritize developing and sustaining a healthy culture for our students. To this end, we will set aside a weekly time for team culture enriching activity.

• As part of our culture enriching activities, dance company members will participate in a short bible based team devotional.

• We encourage students to base their self-worth on the biblical truth that all persons are created in the image of God, and the love of God toward all of us shown in Christ Jesus (with the biblical call to repentance) rather than how many likes they get on social media, how successful they feel on a given week, or what people in their lives say about them. It is our hope that company members would base their value on the unchanging nature of God rather than the constantly changing circumstances of life.

Advanced Training

• Dance Company members will participate in weekly dedicated technical training time to develop and improve their dance skills.

• Dance Company members will receive free access to the in development ‘Dance Skill Courses’ website being created by WiLoKi Dance Center to allow them to further study and develop their skills at home.

Performance Opportunities

• Members of the WiLoKi Dance Company will perform in a large production dance in our Spring and Fall Session Showcase events.

• Dance Company Members will also perform dances for their jazz and ballet level classes in our Spring and Fall Showcases.

• Dance Company Members are invited to join us in dancing in the annual Hannibal 4th of July Parade.

• Dance Company Members are invited to join us in dancing in the annual Hannibal Christmas Parade.

• Dance Company Members are invited to join us in walking in the annual Hannibal Veterans Day Parade.

• Along with other WiLoKi students, Dance Company Members are invited to participate in the annual WiLoKi Summer Dance Challenge.

• Total Participation possible: Mondays 5:00-8:30pm.

• Students will be able to participate in the WiLoKi Dance Company by taking their jazz, ballet, and dance company class times on Monday nights.

• Students must take a leveled class in both jazz and ballet to participate in the dance company

• Students must be 8 years or older

  • *Or must be 7 and have completed 1 or more full year(s) of participation in the WiLoKi Mini Company.

• Must sign the WiLoKi Dance Company Agreement.

• Students who are members of the WiLoKi Dance Company, are invited to additionally join the WiLoKi Dance Competition Team.

• Students who are members of the WiLoKi Dance Company, and are in either lvl 4 jazz or hip hop class levels, are invited to join the WiLoKi Dance Center Performance Crew.
