After 35 years of teaching and bringing the joy of dance to our community, my aunt, Karen Frantz, is retiring and completing her studio career with a capstone 35th Anniversary Studio Performance on December 17th, 2022.

I have been a part of Karen’s Dance Academy for 16 years, ever since I was nine years old. It has been a second home to me as I have grown from being a student, to an assistant, to a teacher, to creative director. And I am thankful to Karen for the many things she has taught me over the years.

I am sad to see my aunt retire, and this second home that I have known for so long come to a close. Yet at the same time, I am very excited for this new chapter to begin.

Karen has been training and imparting her knowledge to me for years on how to teach, choreograph, inspire, and run an excellent dance studio. With this, I am fully ready to put all of these things to the test to continue her legacy of bringing the love of dance to our community.
