Skill Development Based

• At WiLoKi Dance Center, our classes are structured according to skill lvl with students moving up skill lvls primarily based on development of their skills and abilities.

Consideration of Ages

• Although our classes are primarily skill based, we recognize the cognitive development in children as they grow year by year will allow older aged students to more quickly understand and implement concepts and movements.

  Therefore, within our skill structure, we will have new students join at different skill levels based upon their age.

  At the same time, students who are taking classes at WiLoKi are not withheld from skill level advancement because of their age.

Age Determinant Placement

• Aged 1.5-2.5yr old students are eligible to join our Intro Tots Class.

• Aged 2.6-3.9yr old students are eligible to join our Tumbling Tots and Dancing Tots classes.

• Aged 4-6yr old students are eligible to join our Lvl 1 classes.

• Aged 7-11yr old students are eligible to join our Lvl 2 classes.

• Aged 12+yr students are eligible to join our Lvl 3 classes.

• Lvl 4 and higher classes may only be joined based on skill development.

We are making a few changes to our toddler classes with the goal to improve the classes for our students and families even more!

Our Toddler Classes are going to start being divided into two age groups:

• Intro Tots Class - a 30 min. class for littles ages 1.5-2.5yrs old! For the little ones to learn how to participate in a class with other students and an to get used to having direction from an instructor that isn’t mom or dad. With a performance in the studio for family.

• Tots Dance Combo - a 40 min. class for our slightly older littles ages 2.5-3.9yrs old, to have fun learning the foundations of two dance styles.

• Tumbling Tots - a 40 min. class for our slightly older littles ages 2.5-3.9yrs old, to have fun learning the foundations and beginner skills in our acro-tumbling program.

• Once Students turn 4yrs old (or in cases of earlier instructor assessment) students will be moved up to take part in our lvl 1 classes.
