WiLoKi Dance Crew

Participation in Dance Company

• Students are required to be members of the WiLoKi Dance Company to join and participate in the WiLoKi Dance Crew.

Class Level

• Lvl 4 in Jazz Class Level (Future plan for this to be raised to lvl 5)

• Lvl 4 in Hip Hop Class Level (Future plan for this to be raised to lvl 5)

For the 2025-2026 Season, WiLoKi Dance Crew will meet on Fridays 5:00-7:00pm to learn, practice, and film dance crew videos.

High Level Detail Training

• Members of the WiLoKi Dance Crew will be pressed toward perfection in their performative details in the jazz and hip hop genres, with the high expectations for group effort and focus.

Starting with lvl 4, growing to lvl 5

• We are currently starting with a lvl 4 class skill lvl requirement, but the future plan is to raise this to a lvl 5 skill requirement, with the Dance Crew being envisioned as very high skill lvl performance grouping, available for all WiLoKi students that put in the effort to achieve the lvl 5 skill lvl.

Dance Videos

• The plan for the Dance Crew will be to first create simple dance videos, getting used to performing for a video format. We will use these first videos to review and improve performative details and develop experience in the medium.

• The plan will be for these dance videos to be posted on WiLoKi media channels.

• Once we have created several starting dance videos, the plan will be to add increasing complexity and artistic creation to the video projects for the crew.

Acting Elements

• In addition to the dancing portion of videos, we plan to have scenes and skits that are acted out by crew members.

Locations

• We will initially film all dance videos at the dance center.

• Later on, as we move on to dance video projects with increasing complexity and elements, we will plan to film some dance crew videos at locations outside of the dance center.

Participation in the WiLoKi Dance Crew will involve a simple participation fee of $24/month for the 2-hour crew practice time.
